Meet Cate, our Customer Service Advisor

Hi Cate! Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

Hey! So, I’m the go-to gal for all things customer service! A typical day for me would be helping our Joanie Gals with any order queries, helping track down parcels, and giving sizing/styling advice! I am on hand to reply to customer queries through social media, email, and live chat, so I’m always here for a chinwag if needed!

What’s the best bit about your job?

The best bit about my job is getting to chat with our lovely Joanie Gals! I love to hear firsthand how happy our clothes make people feel. I am a huge advocate of funky prints and vintage style, so I thrive off seeing our customer pics and dishing out styling suggestions!

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Dog obsessed woman!

How would you define your personal style?

Always oversized, usually creased. I’m more often than not in an oversized graphic tee paired with my black beanie to complete my art school dropout look.

Staff Picks: Cate’s Favourites

I’ve picked out five of my favourite pieces available on the site at the moment – some of these I have already, and others are definitely on my wishlist!

Selina Pasta Print Jersey Top

As a pasta freak, I simply had to have this top in my wardrobe. I decided to commemorate my love for carbohydrates with this version of Selina. The next time I go out for dinner at an Italian restaurant, you better believe this top will be involved. I would wear it underneath an oversized tee or just tucked into some mom jeans, high waisted of course, to ensure there is space for a Tortellini baby.

Candi Red Tiger Midi Dress

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the Candi Dress going on the website ever since I spied the first sample in our office a while back! My debit card calls to a midi smock dress like a moth to a flame. I love how I can just chuck on this dress with minimal effort but still look bold and funky with the clashing red and black print! I wear this with my chunky boots and oversized leather look trench, but as soon as summer is here, I know I’ll be wearing it for drinks in the sun!

Chaka Disco Logan Tee

The Chaka Slogan Tee needed to be in my staff picks as I’m a huge disco fan - I will absolutely be debuting the t-shirt at a festival this year! The groovy font and contrast ringer are so cute and give endless possibilities for styling. I wear this tee tucked into my mom jeans with my trainers and a high pony for a relaxed daytime look.

Mork Denim Boilersuit

The Mork Black Jumpsuit is a sleek staple piece that comes in handy when I just don’t know what to wear! I’m currently wearing it with lots of long sleeve high neck tops to beat the February chills! You can pop a busy print underneath, so it’s just peeking out from behind the ring pull zip. As soon as the spring sun hits, it would be lovely just on its own with a pair of converse or chunky sandals!

Selina Heart Jersey Top

So, I’m currently wearing this funky number as I write this! Spooky stuff. I love our Selina Hearts Top because it's made of super-soft modal fabric, which is also fully sustainable YAY. The all-over geometric heart print is giving me serious 70’s vibes, and just to go hell to leather on this theme, I’ve popped it underneath my Mork Jumpsuit!
