Coronation Street X Joanie is here! We’re so excited to premier this brand-new range filled with retro gems inspired by over 60 years of Coronation Street history.

This limited collection features plenty of tongue-in-cheek slogans and vintage-inspired motifs, from Roys Rolls to Newton and Ridley Bitter and so much more!

When it came to designing this collection, we were keen to reference some of the most memorable parts of Coronation Street while consciously creating nostalgic pieces that felt more suited to a vintage shop than a gift shop.

All of the Coronation Street X Joanie styles are named after iconic characters from The Street, and all six pieces are crafted from a responsible fabric, either organic cotton or LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose.

Read on to learn more about the inspirations behind each of the pieces in the new collection!

McDonald and Duckworth

Featuring illustrations of some of The Street’s most recognisable locations, from Roy’s Rolls to The Kabin and The Rovers Return, this print is one for all the Coronation Street superfans out there!

The McDonald Dress is named after iconic Rovers Return owners Liz and Steve McDonald, and The Duckworth Shirt is named after Vera and Jack Duckworth, residents of number 9 Coronation Street - the house with blue and yellow cladding visible in the print!

We wanted to create wearable, tongue-in-cheek products that would feel like they had come out of a vintage store rather than a gift shop. Our exclusive Coronation Street all-over print was lovingly created to make people take a second look and start a fun conversation when someone notices the details.

Cropper

Named after long-time cafe owner Roy Cropper, the Cropper Tee is crafted from super-soft organic cotton and features a retro red Roys Rolls logo design against a vintage off-white background. Boasting contrasting red detailing around the cuffs and crew neckline, this short-sleeve cafe logo ringer T-shirt is just our cup of tea!

Tatlock and Holdsworth

The ‘Holdsworth sweatshirt is named after eccentric Coronation Street supermarket manager Reginald “Reg” Holdsworth and features a retro Freshco supermarket logo to the front. Tatlock, the iconic red brick print cardigan, is named after longtime resident of The Street, Albert Tatlock, a self-professed grumpy old man who appeared in the very first episode in 1960!

Gilroy

Gilroy, the emblematic dark green Newton and Ridley Bitter logo sweatshirt, is named after notable Rovers Return landlord Alec Gilroy and features a flocked logo design inspired by the retro flocked wallpaper you might find decorating the walls of a local pub!

'Corra,' as it's affectionately known in our house, was and is a mainstay of family life. Whatever else is going on in the world, good or bad, there’s ALWAYS Coronation Street on in the background. The nation’s favourite TV soap, an institution for us northern folk – I could listen to Audrey Roberts sigh all day long.
