What to Wear for a Staycation This Summer

It’s safe to say our summer plans have been scuppered once again, but that’s not to say we can’t spoil ourselves with a weekend away somewhere special with those we hold dearest. Although we cannot go as far afield as we may please, the British seaside towns from our childhood holidays are right at our feet and are itching to be rediscovered. What better way to re-emerge from the post-lockdown world than a road trip to your favourite town, a break away with the girls or a family trip to the coast. Whether you want to recreate the Algarve in Aberdeen or bring a little bit of the Balearics to Birmingham, your summer wardrobe certainly shouldn’t have to suffer! City Break

First things first, comfort is key! We can all hold our hands up and admit succumbing to injury on the first day of a city break from poorly fitting “but aren’t they pretty” shoes, or dare I say it, chafing. City breaks usually mean a lot of walking, hopefully in the sunshine, but I guess that part isn’t exactly guaranteed. Okay, so we saved the best until last; we’ve all been dreaming to get away with the girls for too long. Sitting with your best friends in a restaurant, drinking wine and an abundance of belly laughs, it’s something Zoom just cannot compete with. Those special weekends need nothing but spectacular outfits, I mean, it’s all we deserve after living in jogging bottoms for so long.
