    Meet Wilson, the vintage Fair Isle-style knit that looks like it came straight out of the gift shop! Crafted from a super-soft and sustainable knit with LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres in an all-over woodland pattern composed of squirrels, rabbits, and voles alongside berries, leaves, acorns, and plants inspired by illustrations from the NHM’s archives, Wilson features a classic shape with a crew neckline, long sleeves, and ribbed detailing at the cuffs and hem.


    The elements within this print have been taken from multiple different sources, so it isn’t possible to credit just one publication or artist. The dormice, red squirrel, and hedgehog featured in this print were inspired by drawings by Dr Edward Adrian Wilson, a prominent figure in early Antarctic exploration. He was a skilled painter and illustrator who saw the importance of capturing the true nature of wildlife by sketching subjects in the field wherever possible. The Museum holds many of his watercolours and reproductions.
