This collection has been designed in collaboration with the Natural History Museum! We are thrilled to be joining forces with the iconic Natural History Museum to create this range, with a focus on the Museum’s expansive heritage and commitment to sustainability. This retro collaboration collection is inspired by nostalgia, designed to recreate the feel of souvenirs you might have found in a museum gift shop years ago! We’re proud to be an official licensing partner of the museum, helping to support the fantastic research and archivism that they do.

It used to really bug us trying to find the perfect blouse that we could throw on and go for any occasion, but thanks to Etoile, we don’t need to worry about that anymore! Crafted from Livaeco™ Viscose, Etoile boasts a V-neckline leading to a corozo button-through front beneath a pussy bow tie with voluminous, bracelet-length sleeves and elasticated cuffs. Etoile features an all-over multi-directional print of beautiful, creepy crawly illustrations taken from the Zoologischer Hand-Atlas by Dr. Hermann Burmeister, a volume found in the Natural History Museum’s library. Composed of scientifically accurate beetles, dragonflies, moths, crickets and caterpillars against a teal background, it’s easy to see why Etoile is making our hearts flutter!

    Livaeco™ Viscose

This item is made using Livaeco™ Viscose, a natural cellulosic fibre made from yarn derived from wood pulp sourced from certified sustainably managed forests.Livaeco™ Viscose is a breathable, absorbent fabric similar to LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose, a material we already use to make some of your favourite Joanie styles - it’s a great alternative to traditional fabrics like viscose and cotton that have a much larger impact on the environment! The production of Livaeco™ Viscose uses less water than conventional viscose, emits a lower level of carbon emissions, and helps maintain forest cover. It is also fully biodegradable within six weeks, so it will never contribute to landfill!

    Corozo Buttons

The buttons on this product are made from Corozo, a sustainable alternative to traditional virgin plastic buttons! Corozo, also known as Tagua, is a species of tropical palm native to South America. The buttons on this garment are made from seeds that have been carefully harvested from inside the large nuts that grow on Corozo trees - their dense fibres make them a perfect alternative to virgin plastic buttons, and they can be machine washed, steamed, and ironed!
