We devised this series to give you a glimpse into daily life at the Joanie office, and the brilliant individuals that make up our small and passionate team! Find out about the people behind our brand, their roles at Joanie, and the pieces they’re currently coveting from our collection.

Meet Nina, Graphic Designer

Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like and what’s the best bit about your job?

My role at Joanie is split between graphic design, which covers web and social graphics, and print and pattern design, which involves creating artwork to go on the clothing. This means my days are quite varied depending on what I’m working on! I usually cover off print and pattern design bits in the morning, as that’s when I’m feeling most creative, and then I move on to web & social graphics in the afternoon.

Who is your style icon?

The Haim sisters all have great style and are just iconic in general.

What are you watching or reading at the moment – do you have any recommendations?

I’m obsessed with Severance at the moment, which will come as no surprise to anyone in the office as I never stop going on about it!

Staff Picks: Nina's Favourites

These are my current top 5 picks, though I find new favourites every week!

I’m obsessed with this top – it’s so cute! I love the contrast of the dusty blue and the pale pink, and the scalloped edge of the collar and sleeves is so pretty. I can’t wait to wear this when the days start getting a little warmer.

This is such a good throw-on piece and can be dressed up with some heels or boots and dressed down with a pair of trainers. And leopard print is so timeless!

I wore this dress to a wedding last year with some red platform heels and got so many people asking where it was from! I know this is going to be one of those dresses that I get out every year.

As a short gal, I love a good platform heel, but it’s been a lifelong struggle to find platforms that are actually comfy. These shoes have answered my prayers! I can keep them on all night with no nasty blisters in the morning. I think I might need to get them in gold, too!

I love a good gilet as it elevates a boring outfit so easily! This one is definitely on my wishlist for spring.
