We’re helping your favourite Joanie pieces stand the test of time through our partnership with The Seam, offering repairs and alterations by skilled specialist Makers.

At Joanie, we design all our clothing with the idea of 'future vintage' in mind - we want our pieces to be worn and loved for a lifetime, then passed along for someone else to enjoy.

That's why we're partnering with The Seam, helping you to extend the lifetime of your favourite garments and love them for even longer. The Seam matches Joanie customers to skilled Makers who can tailor your purchases for the perfect fit, mend well-worn knitwear and denim, and so much more.

What Is The Seam?

The Seam helps connect you to expert local Makers who can repair and alter your favourite Joanie pieces to help them fit better and last longer. Answer a few simple questions about the item you’re booking in, and The Seam will match you to a specialist Maker based on your location and the details of your booking.

You can choose between having an in-person fitting or sending your items directly to your chosen specialist, and your chosen Maker will be in touch within 48 hours to provide a quote for your project and arrange a fitting or postage.

How Much Does It Cost?

Every project is uniquely priced by The Seam’s expert makers, but you can see guide prices here.

If your booking requires a fitting, once you have been matched with your Maker, they will arrange the best time and place to meet with you for this. You can arrange a fitting at home, at your workplace, or at the Makers’ studio. When you opt for a home fitting, Makers charge £15/hour to cover the travel time, and your Maker can provide a quote for this prior to the fitting.

The price set by our Makers for each project is the amount of money they will earn for the project. On top of the Maker's price, The Seam applies a 20% service fee to protect each booking and offer customer support.
