Joanie Swimwear is here! We want to help you decide which swimsuit or bikini is right for you while offering some of our top tips for keeping your swimwear looking and feeling great for as long as possible.

Choosing Your Favourite Joanie Swimwear Style

Finding swimwear that fits and flatters well can be hard, but we’re here to make it easier! We’re breaking down some of the key features of our new Joanie Swimwear styles to help you decide which ones to go for.

Every single one of our bikinis and swimsuits is fully lined in Joanie Pink for three reasons: it minimises any show-through when the swimwear gets wet, it adds an extra layer of padding to help sculpt the swimsuit to your body shape and keep you feeling secure and supported, and it keeps things feeling extra Joanie!

All of our swimwear comes with removable cups, which can be worn differently depending on your body type and preference. Bikini styles like Tess look great with or without the padding - if you’ve got smaller boobs, the pads shape the garment, giving you a fuller and more rounded shape on top. If you’ve got bigger boobs, the pads can help with modesty when you’re cold and provide a bit of extra support.

Our swimsuits and bikinis are all dual-sized, and we’re confident that you’ll be able to find one that fits you. If you aren’t sure which size to go for, check out the individualised sized guides on each of our product listings - a top tip is to measure a similar swimming costume or bikini that fits you well and compare the measurements to our size guides!

If you’re looking for extra shaping, Coralie has boning sewn in at the side seams to help the swimsuit retain its shape while you’re wearing it and keep it looking super-flattering. This swimsuit also has ruching detail across the stomach, so if you’re on the hunt for a style that offers a bit of extra tummy coverage, then this one’s for you!

All of our swimsuits have an inner-bust shelf which helps to give lift and provides additional support and definition for your shape.

When designing the range, we tried to include a mixture of block colours and bold retro prints. There are six different Joanie Swimwear styles, and each one has at least one plain block colour or classic print (think retro sailor stripes) for anyone who’s on the hunt for something timeless.

Every swimsuit we designed has a sister bikini, so if you love Cecilie, then check out Ursula! Fonda is twinned with Tess and Coralie with Paloma. We know how hard it can be to find swimwear that you love, and we’re so confident that this range will become fan-favourites that we wanted to give you a second option if you fall in love with the fit of a certain swimsuit or bikini!

Ursula is a simple and classic shape that we designed to feel and look great on any body type. The v-neck top is supported by wide fixed straps, and the clasp fastening helps to lift your boobs and anchor the bikini to your body.

All of our swimwear is designed to have a good amount of bum-coverage, and we have two different brief styles depending on the garment: a midi leg shape and a boy shorts-style leg shape. Some styles, like Coralie, feature a midi leg shape that sits on the hips, while others, like Tess, have more of a straight-cut leg shape that offers full bum coverage.

Wash Care Tips For Joanie Swimwear

Here are four of our top tips for keeping your swimwear looking great year after year!

1. Rinse your swimwear after wearing it

Chlorine in swimming pools and the sun creams you might wear on holiday can really take a toll on swimwear fabrics. After you’ve been swimming in your Joanie Swimwear, make sure you rinse the garment thoroughly with cold water, and leave it to dry fully before wearing it again.

2. Hand wash your swimwear

It’s always best to hand-wash your swimwear using a gentle detergent. It means that the garment won’t be subjected to spin cycles in a washing machine that could damage the details (e.g., the decorative buttons on Cecile), and the swimwear will look good for way longer as a result.

3. Remove the padded cups before washing

Every single swimwear style in our range has removable padded cups, which should always be removed before washing or washed separately to maintain their shape.

4. Air-dry your swimwear

We know it can be a pain, but air drying your swimwear will keep it looking newer for longer. Tumble dryers could cause damage to the detailing on some of the swimsuits, and there’s a chance the fabric might shrink or fade if dried at a high temperature.

We promise that if you look after your swimwear as advised, it will look after you - wear after wear!
