Find out about the people behind our brand and their roles at Joanie, as well as the pieces they’re currently coveting from our collection.

Meet Dani, E-Commerce Assistant

Hi Dani! Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

Hi! A typical day for me varies. My main focus is to help Sarah with the website to ensure it is fully functioning and any problems are fixed quickly. I also list products, update graphics and remerchandise categories to make sure the customer's journey on site is as smooth and enjoyable as can be!

What’s the best bit about your job?

I love how much there is to learn in the world of E-commerce. It is a sector that is constantly growing and evolving. I also enjoy working amongst such hard-working and creative individuals who have great enthusiasm for the brand and its customers!

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Imaginative, cheerful, and talkative.

How would you define your personal style?

My style changes a lot. I find it fun to constantly reinvent myself through my clothes and try out new styles. Why limit yourself to only one look? However, you will rarely see me without my Docs, and I pair these with wide-leg pants or dresses and fitted tops.

Staff Picks: Dani's Favourites

I’ve picked out five of my favourite pieces available on the site at the moment that are all on my wishlist! These pieces are all wardrobe staples which can be styled in many different ways.

Annie Corduroy Waistcoat

I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I saw this waistcoat. For starters, green is my favourite colour, and don’t get me started on this shade of green (it’s perfect). Not only that, but I love clothes that make you feel powerful when you wear them, and this waistcoat definitely will. I love the versatility of this piece and how much fun you can have styling it. Layer it over different tops or blouses and pair it with skirts, dresses, or with the matching pants.

Lafayette Wide Leg Corduroy Trousers

Of course, I have to have the matching pants! How smart is this two-piece? I love clothes that can be worn in many different ways. These trousers can be dressed up with some heeled boots or dressed down with trainers. They can be worn with a multitude of different tops or simply paired with the matching waistcoat for an extremely put-together look!

Gina Puff Sleeve Tartan Midi Dress

When it comes to your outfit, who doesn’t want to be the star of the show? This dress is definitely a showstopper for all the right reasons. I love the belt detail to pull in the waist. It juxtaposes with the puffed-out sleeves - creating an eye-catching yet elegant look! In my opinion, this is THE ultimate occasion dress!

Dawn O’Porter X Joanie - Maitai Denim Catsuit

This catsuit is an all-year-round staple that can be dressed up or down. You can have a lot of fun styling this catsuit – underlayer with a funky long-sleeved top or overlayer with an oversized cardigan or jacket. I have been trying to build a time capsule wardrobe with high-quality pieces that can be worn for years to come, and this catsuit was made to be part of that!

Jackie Tartan Fleece Shacket

When I look at this fleece, three words spring to mind: colourful, cosy, and cute. On a day-to-day basis, I am very lazy when it comes to my clothes, and I love pieces that will elevate my look. This fleece is definitely one of those pieces. Throw this over a plain black midi-dress or dark blue jeans and a black jumper. You could even pair this with white jeans as the months get warmer for an effortless yet thought-out look!
