Meet Louise, Creative Marketing Executive

Hi Louise! Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

My role at Joanie is all things visual. I look after our creative in terms of photoshoots, graphics and social media! A typical day for me can be anything from being in the studio shooting our upcoming collections to being in the office with the team, creating graphics for our social.

What’s the best bit about your job?

The best bit about my job is the freedom I have when it comes to creating graphics and bringing ideas to the team, there are no boundaries when it comes to props on Joanie shoots! I also love the exciting places my role takes me, shooting on location is one of my favourite things, something we’ll be doing a lot more of this year! Keep your eyes peeled for exciting new creatives!

Can you describe yourself in three words?

An impossible question right? Personally I’m not sure how I’d describe myself but I’ve been told I can be competitive, being a sporty person, it makes sense to be competitive, no one likes to lose! I suppose with my role, I would also be classed as creative, that just comes with the nature of what I do and enjoy. I’ll get back to you on the third one.

How would you define your personal style?

My style can change depended on season, Scandi vibes is the aim but not always what is achieved. My go to is my favourite pair of light wash denim jeans, which I’ve been searching for, for the longest time but recently discovered(!!) paired with a graphic tee and oversized blazer teamed with converse. Always converse.

Staff Picks: Louise's Favourites

Mork Denim Short Sleeve Boilersuit - Green

Our Mork boilersuit is my go-to for a shoot day! The perfect all in one for comfort when up in the studio, so much so even our MUAs have their own. As we head into spring I can’t wait to grab for my green one more often than my black one.

Bondi Tie Waist Towelling Playsuit - Blue

If there’s one thing I love to have in my wardrobe it’s a playsuit! The Bondi is perfect for summer holidays by the beach as a swimwear cover up or for that retro feel when on a summer stroll paired again with my trusty converse or chunky doc sandals. Anything blue is always a winner for me.

Ryder Square Neck Retro Floral Dress

I love a bold retro floral and square neckline which is why Ryder had to be in my top picks. At only 5ft 2” our Ryder dress sits slightly longer on me that I’d like but like most things in my wardrobe I take them to the local alterations shop to get them taken up to suit my body shape how I prefer! That way I know I’ll wear them and love them more, year on year.

Imala Gingham Short Sleeve Boilersuit

Gingham has to be one of my all time favourite prints. So I couldn’t not choose our new Imala jumpsuit. I’m yet to get my hands on it but it certainly is on my wish list. Gingham for summer is a must!

Starkey Smocked Cotton Sundress - Blue Check

I lived in my Starkey dress last summer so I’m so happy to see it back! Perfect for those not so warm summers days as you can easily pair a little white tee underneath. I love to style mine up with a denim jacket, contrasting patterned bag and extremely loved converse.
