New year, new tree! We’re pleased to be continuing our work with Ecologi and are pledging to plant a tree for every order placed in January! Through our partnership with Ecologi, each order you place means a new tree will be planted responsibly across Ecologi’s planting sites.

What is Ecologi?

Ecologi is an Environmental Organisation who believe everyone should have access to the best solutions to save our planet - a platform for real climate action! By facilitating the funding of carbon offset projects and tree planting around the world, their mission is to reduce 50% of global CO2 emissions by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees each year. They believe that with a little input from a lot of people, we have the power to secure our future!

Ecologi: Climate Positive Workforce

We’ve now been working with Ecologi for over 18 months - that’s 18 months of being a Climate Positive Workforce. Hand in hand with our commitment to sustainability is our intention to reduce our carbon footprint as a business. We signed up with Ecologi in order to offset our business and personal travel - by growing our own company forest. As a result, we are now considered a Climate Positive Workforce, having planted over 1,800 trees with 146.05t of carbon reduction - that’s over 438 metres2 of sea ice saved!

Why Plant Trees?

Trees absorb carbon from the atmosphere and store it in their biomass and they do so in a way that is much more efficient than any carbon removal technology that currently exists!

Trees also provide habitats for local wildlife - providing places to live, food to eat and branches and leaves to take shade from the sun and shelter from the rain. Planting trees supports biodiversity and can help to prevent loss of species!

Trees also benefit local communities by purifying air and water sources and providing food that can be sold, such as fruit and nuts.

Degraded soil increases the risk of natural hazards such as landslides. The roots of trees help to stabilise soil, which in turn minimises this risk. Certain coastal tree species, such as mangroves provide natural barriers which protect the shoreline from storms.

Ecologi take steps to ensure that the work they do is done properly - that means reforesting responsibly. By planting ecologically appropriate trees in the right places, their trees can not only survive, but thrive! This involves working alongside local communities to ensure that the trees are protected from both natural and manmade threats so they can in turn support biodiversity and carbon sequestration.

How Can I Plant My Tree?

That’s the best bit - all you need to do is place an order at any point in January and we’ll do the rest! At the end of the month, we’ll work with Ecologi to plant a tree for every order we’ve received.

Where Can I Learn More About Ecologi?
