Our Summer Sustainability Update is here! Read on to learn about the sustainability initiatives we've been working on this quarter…
This year, we're partnering with The Seahorse Trust on an 'Under the Sea' Graphic Tee! We're donating £5 from the sale of each one to support the conservation of these magnificent creatures and their environment.
We're also fundraising for The Marine Conservation Society! The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading ocean membership charity, working towards cleaner, better-protected, healthier seas. We're donating £5 from the sale of every Maren Tee to the organisation, and to help kick off this exciting collaboration, some of the Joanie Team took part in a Beach Clean!
“It was so rewarding to see what The Marine Conservation Society are doing with their beach cleans - as a group, you could really notice the difference we made to the amount of litter on the Beach!"

This quarter, we launched our latest community project, the #JoanieCraftClub! We want to help reduce waste and promote creativity by sending out craft packs filled with the samples of fabric, buttons, and trims our design team often has leftover when developing new products.
So many people have reached out to us, and we can't wait to see the results! To launch the Joanie Craft Club, we volunteered with two community groups: a primary school craft club and sewing group for Asylum seekers based in Manchester.
I loved seeing everyone’s creations, it was impressive to see how they transformed the fabric we’d given them!

To celebrate Earth Day, the Joanie Team took part in a group rewilding project at Broughton Sanctuary, planting a total of 300 trees! We spent a day learning about rewilding and how it can help increase biodiversity, including how reintroducing native species like Beavers and Iron Age Pigs can benefit the natural environment. So far this year, we’ve completed over 40 Hours of volunteering!
I really enjoyed getting involved in the re-wilding programme at Broughton Sanctuary. It was great to learn about the amazing work Joel and the team has done already and their plans for the future. Already so many trees have been planted, and it was great to take part in planting more trees and seeing the steps it entails!

We’re always looking for ways we can give back to our community, and have lots more exciting things planned this year.
