Meet Claire, Assistant Product Developer
Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like and what’s the best bit about your job?
I am an Assistant Product Developer, so I get a sneak peek of all our products before they are live whilst we work on the fit of them in the development stage. I quality check these to make sure they are ready for production!
Who is your style icon?
Fearne Cotton is definitely my style icon - I love how she wears vintage with modern styling and fun prints and sparkles.
What are you watching or reading at the moment – do you have any recommendations?
I love cooking, so my go-to is Masterchef - I enjoy watching delicious food being made and gaining some recipes along the way.
How would you define your personal style?
My style changes all the time! I take inspiration from vintage styling and then build my wardrobe by thrifting. I love the detailing of a vintage shirt with beautiful embroidery or an incredible collar, but I also love my sweatshirts and trusty mom jeans!
Staff Picks: Claire's Favourites
This is really difficult because there are so many lovely pieces to choose from!
I love this T-shirt! It’s such a staple piece I can wear anywhere and style with jeans and still feel made up. The fabric is so soft, and it’s the comfiest oversized fit.
I am obsessed with gingham so naturally love this blazer. I would wear it with all black underneath to keep it as the statement of the outfit and my Dr Martens for day-to-night styling.

Dungarees for me are such an all-rounder. I wear them in winter with long sleeves and layer up and in summer without a jacket and a cute tee underneath.
This would be my go-to for afternoon tea! The print and vintage detailing with the frill sleeves and pleating are so lovely. I would style it with some comfy pumps (I’m not a heels girly) and a cute pastel cardigan.
This is on my list for a summer wedding I’m attending. The colour is stunning, and it’s such a lovely fabric feel.
