Meet Jess, Customer Service Assistant

Hi Jess! Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

I’ve been at Joanie for three months now - I joined in December (aka the busiest time of year for customer service!). I’d say my typical day consists of dealing with lost orders, product queries, finding and/or replacing customer's parcels, replying to comments and messages on social channels and answering the phone. Safe to say, there is never a boring moment!

What's the best bit about your job?

The best part about my job is reading all the lovely messages, ideas and feedback we get from our customers, and of course, the occasional cat picture from a customer with a cat called JOANIE!

Can you describe yourself in three words?

I would describe myself as someone who finds it impossible to answer this question, haha!

How would you define your personal style?

In the summer, I would describe it as 'coastal grandmother' - I love all things knitwear, neutrals and linen! However, I do love an occasional statement piece such as a fun print or bright colour.

In the winter, I’d say anything that is warm, as I’m always cold!

I think a Breton stripe top is a classic and a great base for an outfit. This is always my go-to when I don’t know what to wear - I feel like it always makes a boring outfit look a little more chic.
