Meet Kim, Assistant Product Developer

Hi Kim! Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

Hey! A typical day for me consists of all things design and production. I mainly help our amazing Production Manager with measuring samples and assisting in fit meetings to ensure every piece we launch fits our Joanie Gals perfectly! I also assist our talented designers with various projects, which is super fun and creative!

What’s the best bit about your job?

This is a tricky one! I recently started at Joanie three months ago, so I’m constantly learning new things in all areas of my job and loving every bit - particularly on the technical side! The team here at Joanie is fab! It’s a joy to work alongside so many talented individuals that share the same enthusiasm and ambitions for the brand.

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Ambitious, enthusiastic, crochet-addict (that counts as three, right?).

How would you define your personal style?

I’m alllll about layers! I love investing in clothes that can be worn throughout all seasons and styled up differently to make it look like a brand new outfit everytime, and layering is the BEST way to achieve this! My wardobe consists of mainly staple pieces with added pops of colour. Every outfit is usually paired with my trusty Docs or platform Converse and some chunky jewellery.

I’ve had my eye on this monochrome piece for so long and knew I had to snap it up as soon as it launched! The daisy print is so cute and can be layered up with a white tee and black jeans to create a full monochrome look, or add a pop of colour with a pink long sleeve top underneath!

Selina Star & Scallop High Neck Stretch Jersey Top

This funky little number is at the top of my wishlist! It’s such a fun piece that will jazz up any outfit. Imagine it paired with an oversized tee, black dress, vest, or even our Mork Short Sleeve Boilersuit in black! It’s THE perfect layering piece to brighten up those dull winter months!

Dawn O’Porter X Joanie - Bellini Denim Shift Dress

The Dawn O’Porter collection has SO many colourful goodies; I want them all! I’ve chosen the Bellini Denim Shift Dress from this collection, as it’s a staple piece with a twist. The contrast stitching and orange daisy buttons creates a fun look with endless styling opportunities.

Wolfie Zip-Through Fleece Jacket - Monochrome Daisy

There’s a reoccurring theme with the monochrome daisy print - and I’m all for it! The Wolfie Monochrome Daisy Fleece Jacket is super soft and can be paired with anything to add a bit of fun to any outfit (and it’s made from recycled plastic bottles too!).

Ernie Organic Cotton Book Print Pyjamas

The first range of organic cotton pyjamas launched this month, and it’s not one to be missed! These pyjamas are so soft, and I love the traditional style. There are so many quirky prints available, like space, jungle, and even a breakfast-themed print! I’ve chosen the Ernie Organic Cotton Book Print Pyjamas, as I absolutely love reading at night. So now I can wear books on my pyjamas, while reading - what’s not to love!
