We’re so pleased to announce our latest charity collaboration with Choose Love, a humanitarian organisation dedicated to providing support for refugees and displaced people across the globe.

We are donating 100% of the profits from the sales of our Aphrodite Jumper in both colourways to Choose Love to aid their efforts to provide vital help for people in the most desperate situations.

What is Choose Love?

Founded by a group of friends in 2015 to raise funds to help the plight of refugees in Calais, Choose Love is pioneering a new movement in humanitarian aid. Their fast, flexible, transparent, and accountable approach has helped to provide refugees across the globe with everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats to food and legal advice.

Their mission to put love into action around the world has expanded considerably over the last seven years, raising millions to support almost 4 million people worldwide. They’ve worked with partners to distribute more than 5 million hot meals, almost 3 million nappies, and over 650,000 items of clothing.

How do they help refugees? 

In their fight to bring dignity, hope, respect, and humanity to the lives of displaced people, the team at Choose Love works tirelessly to elevate the voices and visibility of refugees while galvanising public support for agile community organisations.

Since 2015, they’ve rescued over 20,000 people at sea, funded almost 200,000 medical consultations, supported more than 130,000 legal cases, and built almost 60,000 shelters.

This year’s goals at Joanie are all about us doing BETTER. We want to make better clothes, in better fabrics, in better factories - not just that, we want to BE better as a company. Being a better person, business or brand comes down to choice; not always choosing the well-trodden path, choosing to disrupt and improve. One of the many ways we’ve chosen to do better this year is to increase our charitable donations - we’ve literally chosen to love more. In collaboration with the team at Choose Love, we’ve committed to donating a minimum of £50,000 through sales of the Aphrodite Jumpers in 2023 to help fund and support the fantastic work carried out by the charity.
