Helping to support worthy causes and charities that are close to our hearts is incredibly important to us. In past years, we have worked with various charities, including the Girls Network, Age UK, Dogs Trust, the Pankhurst Centre, and World Book Day. At any given time, we are committed to supporting at least one charitable organisation through clothing donations and our collaboration styles, and since our inception in 2016, we have donated over £158,000 to good causes and charities that we feel passionately about.
We donate any faulty garments that are returned to us to New Life (Registered Charity Number 1170125), the UK's largest charitable provider of specialist equipment for disabled children. These faulty garments are repaired and sold to raise funds. We made our first donation to New Life in January 2017, and since then, we’ve donated a total of 481 cartons. In 2024, we donated 272 cartons of stock, with a usage rate of 94.8%.

Volunteering
Alongside our charity donations we also have a volunteering policy which encourages our team to go out and take part in volunteering during regular working hours. Last year we completed a total of over 130 hours collectively as a team.
So far this year members of our team have taken part in a variety of opportunities including a beach clean, giving a talk at a university as well as taking part in a rewilding project for Earth Day. To kick off the Joanie Craft Club, we volunteered with two community groups, a primary school craft club and sewing group for Asylum seekers based in Manchester. It was great to see creations come to life first-hand! Read more on our blog here.
We’re always looking for charities and volunteering opportunities we can get involved with. If you have any ideas, email us at [email protected]
