    Suffra-get this. The Emmie T-shirt is crafted from super-soft organic cotton and features a graphic ‘votes for women’ slogan design provided by the Mary Evans Picture Library on a cream background with short sleeves, a crew neckline, and a relaxed, boxy fit. We’re donating £10 from the sale of every Emmie Tee to Emmeline's Pantry, a Manchester-based food bank run by women for women in need.

    Information on the print: Text taken from an original ‘Votes for Women’ tin badge, issued around 1906 for the Women’s Social and Political Union. The W.S.P.U was founded in Manchester in 1903 by Emmeline Pankhurst and was notable for embarking on a militant campaign in their fight for female suffrage in the decade leading up to the Great War. The badge forms part of the March of the Women Collection of objects and images relating to the suffrage movement, represented at Mary Evans Picture Library.

    Based in a converted church hall in Blackheath, south London, Mary Evans Picture Library has been supplying vintage imagery to a range of clients since 1964. Drawing from its vast archive of books, periodicals, prints, photographs and ephemera, it’s a treasure trove of the unique, the nostalgic and the unexpected, where pictures pave the way from the present day to the past.
