So let’s get a little nostalgic and take a look back at where it all began, shall we? The first idea for Joanie was sparked way back in the winter of 2015. Born out of the desire to create fun vintage-inspired styles for modern women, Joanie was inspired by our Designer’s Great Aunt Joanie; a glamorous woman who tapped and twirled her way through the fifties and sixties!
Since our launch we have loved seeing our community of Joanie gals grow. We have had the joy of seeing our styles worn by celebs and some incredibly inspiring individuals. Some of TV’s finest have been spotted sporting Joanie! Including daytime TV sweethearts Holly Willoughby, Denise Van Outen, Kate Thornton, the Loose Women and Lorraine Kelly!

As well as incredible celebrities we have loved seeing some bestselling Authors rocking Joanie to Book Launches up and down the country, including Bethany Rutter, Sarah J Harris, Scarlett Curtis and Louise Pentland. Our greatest joy is seeing all of your #joaniegal outfit pictures shared across social media! We love seeing how you style your favorite Joanie pieces in your everyday, to your graduations, weddings, birthday parties, work and on your travels!
As a brand, we continue to be inspired by vintage style; whether that’s a statement collar or novelty print. We believe that everyday style should be fun and of course practical, that’s why we have created our Dresses with Pockets Category and love to share breastfeeding-friendly styles.
