Behind the scenes filming at The Vintage Beauty Parlour

Take a look behind the scenes filming at The Vintage Beauty Parlour: The Joanie gals teamed up with the Vintage Beauty Parlour,  Maggie Mowbray Millinery and beauty blogger Anoushka Loves to film a series of vintage hair and makeup tutorials, here’s a little look behind the scenes...

The Vintage Beauty Parlour is a pretty little gem nestled away in leafy Chorlton, Manchester and is the perfect place for spending a girly day chatting, drinking tea and playing around with vintage hair and makeup looks.

Award winning hair and makeup artist Bethany Jane Davies is the brains and beauty behind the Vintage Beauty Parlour, along with her husband Simon and pug Dita they provide a very special type of vintage beauty magic!

We arrived at the Vintage Beauty Parlour with a rail full of blooming lovely outfits ready for Anoushka to try on. Our rail included several vintage-inspired occasion wear dresses from our new collection including the navy lace Nisha swing dress and the 60s style pink lace Rosamund dress. Maggie Mowbray Millinery kindly lent us a selection of fabulous hats perfect for styling our vintage-inspired Ladies Day and Wedding Guest looks.

After a chat and a cup of tea we got to work setting up the cameras and watching Bethany work her magic. Our first look of the day was the Joanie style vintage-inspired Ladies Day look set to inspire any of you lucky gals heading to a race day this year. You can head over to YouTube to watch our Ladies Day Hair & Makeup tutorial now! -don’t forget to hit the subscribe button to see all our new videos! ;)

Our second look was a vintage-inspired wedding guest look complete with an ‘easy up do for short hair’ tutorial. Inspired by classic occasion style of the 60s Anoushka wore the pink lace Rosamund dress and statement hat. We reflected the soft pink tone of the Rosamund lace dress in the choice of hat and lipstick to create a cohesive look. Keep your eyes peeled for the video coming soon to the Joanie Clothing YouTube channel.

We rounded the day off with ‘a simple beehive’ tutorial to help inspire any of you gals in love with that classic 60s look! We’re so excited to share our latest hair and makeup tutorial videos with you, head over and subscribe to the Joanie Clothing YouTube channel for more vintage-inspired hair and makeup tutorials and behind the scenes action from the Joanie gals…

Love

Joanie
