Thursday's Child: PR & Marketing Assistant, Gabrielle

We've already reached Thursday in our 'Eight Days of Joanie' series and today we're throwing it back with our PR & Marketing Assistant, Gabrielle! We chat to Gabrielle about some of her favourite memories and what it is like working here at Joanie HQ.

We love a throwback! What are your top three throwback tunes?

I found this really hard so I decided to pick my favourites from when I was growing up;

• Spice Girls - Wannabe
• Destiny’s Child - Say My Name
• B*Witched - C’est La Vie

Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

I always start the day by checking my emails, then straight to Instagram to check who’s been wearing Joanie and research bloggers and celebrities to work with. Throughout the day I contact press and stylists too to let them know about our latest pieces. Each day can be different though - I could be working on a photoshoot, creating videos for our social media channels and generally assisting the marketing team. One of my favourite tasks is choosing surprise gifts and putting together creative packages for influencers.

What’s the best bit about your job?

I think it would be seeing Joanie on so many amazing women - celebrities, bloggers, influencers and authors! As soon as I see the picture I shout it out for the whole office to gather around my screen for a look - it’s especially exciting when it’s a TV appearance!

Which celebrities are smashing it in the style stakes for you at the moment?

More of an influencer than a traditional celebrity but I’m obsessed with Camila Coelho’s style at the moment! I also love Blake Lively, Selena Gomez and Beyoncé - I mean, can she do any wrong?

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Enthusiastic, hardworking and smiley.

What do you think makes a great party?

Friends and good R&B music!

Have you got a favourite outfit from your childhood that you wish you still owned (in adult size!)?

I had some baby pink flared cargo pants which I loved! I’d definitely wear them now!

If you could go back and live for a day in any decade, which would you choose and why?

I think I’d go back to the ‘30s as that’s when my grandma was born and the way she talks about life just seems worlds apart from now. I’d love to see what Manchester was like then and to see her and my grandad and of course, life before technology!

Finally, what Joanie pieces are you currently coveting from the new collection?

I love the Lois jumpers, especially the pink one! The Anna-May dress is really cute and I’m loving the new bodysuits and they have become a staple in my wardrobe!
