The 8 days a week series continues and today we are introducing the lovely Christine, our Creative Manager here at Joanie HQ! We find out what an average working week is like for Christine and what fun things she gets up to in her spare time.

Christine is repping our 'Ruby Tuesday' Mardi Jumper, which you can shop now!

Let’s talk #TravelTuesday - if you could head off anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

I’m heading off to Lisbon this autumn, so I’m pretty excited about that! Other than Lisbon, I’d love to jet off somewhere sunny to a yoga retreat…possibly Goa? or to Italy to eat all the food.

Tell us about your role at Joanie - what does a typical day look like?

My days differ wildly depending on the time of the year. Some days I’m sat at my desk managing the Joanie social channels, designing graphics or putting together the lookbook. Other days I might be in the photography studio managing the photoshoots.

What is the best bit about your job?

I love following #joaniegal on Instagram to see who’s been wearing Joanie and how the gals have styled the pieces from the collection. I also enjoy working with the great team here at Joanie HQ.

What Instagram accounts are currently inspiring you?

There are so many so I’ll try to whittle it down to just three…

I love @elsielarson her Nashville home and outfits are seriously cute, not to mention her recently adopted beautiful daughter Nova. I’ve been following Elsie’s blog for years, so it’s inspiring to see her business, family and style flourish.

I’m also a bit obsessed with @brightbazaar. Will’s been blogging for years, his love of interiors and colour makes me happy. Will has a new IG TV series noseying around swoon-worthy interiors, so that’s something that I’ve been enjoying.

Queer Eye’s Jonathan is also very inspiring, his IG @jvn is an endless source of hilarity, dance routines and cat pictures. Jonathan also has a podcast ‘Getting Curious’ which is my go-to downtime listening.

What’s your favourite way to switch off and relax?

I’m big into wellness, so most evenings I love to diffuse some essential oils, soak in a magnesium bath and work my way through the Persephone Books back catalogue or enjoy the odd yoga class. At the weekends you’ll find me out walking, brunching with my family or taking photographs and blogging over at The Fabulous Times.

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Calm, creative, curious…

How would you define your personal style?

I love vintage clothes so tend to mix original vintage pieces with new classics. For autumn I love tartan, cable knits and a good set of thermals!

Are there any style icons (past or present) that inspire you?

There are so many! Grace Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn, Audrey, I adore Katherine Hepburn’s style, she could make a classic men’s white shirt and tailored trousers look so effortlessly chic. Present day I would say Monty Don with his corduroy trousers and linen shirts are a firm favourite.

If you could go back and live for a day in any decade, which would you choose and why?

It’d have to be 1950s California for me; the cars, the music, the architecture!

Finally, what Joanie pieces are you currently coveting from the new collection?

The Cassidy Tea Dress is a classic, I’d wear that with Mary Janes, tights and a cardigan for the colder days. I also love the Ellis Floral Tea Dress which looks great layered up with cable knitwear. Eugenie in the Cabernet is super soft and comfy so that’s on my autumn wishlist too.
