Describe your job role...

I'm the Finance Manager for Joanie Clothing - I count the dollar dollar bills...

Explain a typical day in your role...

I usually wake up between 6.45am and 7.30am depending on whether or not I pottered around the night before. My usual breakfast is porridge in the winter, granola and yoghurt in the summer. I'm responsible for the finance of Joanie's business. From managing the input of trading transactions, to top level reporting to the board on the performance of the business. I also have the power on who gets to spend what, and whether or not you get paid!!!

What's your most memorable work moment?

Definitely the first board meeting a month into the job. I needed to present a budget for the next two years. How I managed to pull that together, I don't know. I've blocked it out of my memory!

What do you enjoy doing after work?

Either a Netflix and chill, or a meal and a glass of wine out somewhere. And varying degrees of both in between...

What's your typical Friday night go-to drink?

Wine, wine, wine!

What can you not leave the house without?

Earphones and eyebrows! I have to draw them on for my face to look awake and human!)

In your wardrobe, what item can you not live without?

To be honest, anything with an elasticated waistband. As long as I have something for a comfy day, I can deal with outfits for my 'effort' days. And probably my black fisherman jumper. I live in a jumper.

You're given a plane ticket titled 'anywhere'... where do you go?

Namibia. It's top of my travel bucket list right now!

What's your favourite book?

Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively is up there. I remember reading it and it managing to capture so much of what is life and how we all see the same memories differently... I don't like anything else she has written strangely enough! But that was genius for me. OR Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell. A classic!

What's your spirit animal?

I think maybe a Racoon... because Sophia think I would be a cat sized woodland animal. And to be fair, the google description of a Racoon spirit animal sounds a lot like me!

If you could give your 16 year-old self any advice, what would it be?

To be socially fearless. And to read more!
